Mafia hitman strikes outside a Naples bar

This is the chilling moment a Mafia boss is gunned down by a hitman outside a bar.

His attacker then stands over him and finishes him off with a single shot to the back of the head before strolling away.

Police in Naples, where the local Mafia are known as the Camorra, released the CCTV footage to try to catch the hitman. They believe the killing of Mario Bacio Terracino , 53, was part of a feud with a rival gang over the control of lucrative drug trafficking network.

Tarracino is seen smoking a cigarette outside a bar in the central Sanita neighborhood. The killer enters the bar, where there are at least six people, then emerges and shoots Tarracino at point blank range.

When Tarracino falls on the ground, the killer finishes him off with a bullet to the head.None of the bystanders moves a finger, although it is hard to say if that is from genuine indifference or fear of retaliation.

A woman is seen rubbing off her scratch-and-win lottery card as Tarracino is killed in front of her. A cigarette-seller moves his stall a few meters down the road, while a man holding a toddler in his arms looks at the victim and walks away.

A woman counting change in her purse jumps in shock at the sound of the gunshot and turns to see the killer calmly walking away. He was even said to be smiling.

Real life POPEYE...horrible arm

Boasting muscles a superhero would be proud of, Matthias Schlitte has good reason to be considered the toast of the German arm wrestling circuit

But a closer look reveals that only ONE of his arms is bestowed with bulging biceps.

The 22-year-old’s whopping right forearm measures nearly 18in – and is in stark contrast to his puny left arm.

Despite its odd appearance, Matthias’s Popeye-esque limb has strong-armed him into first place in a host of competitions, including the Iron Curtain Armwars in Blackburn and the German Championships in Haltern, this year.

Matthias, who has been involved in the sport since he was 16, said: ‘Many people’s first association with arm wrestling is a beer-soaked bar-table and drunken sailors – which is completely wrong

‘Without any knowledge or practise I competed in the amateur-class up to 90kg – being only 16 years old with a weight of 65kg

The Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko has the greatest camouflage trick

To the less discerning eye, it could be a leaf shrivelling up on a tree fighting the onset of the first autumn chill

But this amazing form is in fact a lizard which can camouflage itself so well that it actually looks like a leaf

Perched on a branch, this Satanic leaf-tailed gecko has blended itself into its surroundings so expertly that even making out its coil-shaped body among the foliage is no mean feat

Its curvy body - at the top of the image - is only a slightly lighter hue of brown than the dark leaf it has tangled itself around

As your eyes move across to the right of the picture, you can just about see its torso making a single corkscrew movement as its darker brown tail tapers off to the right

To the left of the picture, the gecko's head can be seen as well as its left arm and left leg which squats under its body

Finally, Usain Bolt got competition!

Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt may think he's speedy afte
r breaking his own 100m world record last month. But he has nothing on Sarah the cheetah, who managed the feat in 6.13 seconds, compared to Bolt's 9.58 seconds at the World Championships in Berlin.

Like Bolt, the eight-year-old mammal managed to break her own record, after eclipsing her first time of 6.16 seconds on her second attempt. The spotted creature took to a specially designed 100m race course at at Cincinnati Zoo's Regional Cheetah Breeding Facility in America yesterday to take part in the run.

Her amazing time means she is now officially the fastest land animal.

She was so quick that she even caught up with the lure that was encouraging her to run. Sarah ran three times yesterday to claim the world record.

Her first run broke the record of 6.19 seconds with 6.16 seconds and her second run was even faster at 6.13 seconds. She ran the 100 meters in 6.33 seconds on her third run.

Man turns BLUE after he self-medicates for a skin condition

A man who turned blue after self-medicating for a skin condition says his hue is

lightening.

Paul Karason, 58, has the strange Papa Smurf look as a side effect of using a silver

compound which he used more than a decade ago to treat a bad case of dermatitis on his face.

But he told NBC's Today Show that his skin is lightening because he is now using the self-administered doses of colloidal silver less.

Colloidal silver is a suspension of silver in a liquid base - in this case, distilled water.

Silver has antibacterial properties and has been used to fight infection for thousands of years.

Karson also revealed he has recently broke off his relationship with partner Jackie Northrup during his interview today, who he was engaged to when he last appeared on the U.S. show.

He said: '[My skin] has lightened up, it is not major but it is lightening up. I am actually going to try green.'

Tinker Bell exist in this world?

It fluttered into her life and left a little bit of fairy dust.

But no matter how hard Phyllis Bacon scours her garden, she can find no trace of her silver-winged visitor. All she has is this picture.

And as she examines the photo of the tiny glowing creature darting around above her lawn, she finds herself believing in fairies.

Astonished by what she saw when she glimpsed at the picture, she has spent months seeking a rational explanation.

But after scouring the internet for pictures of butterflies, moths and beetles that might match it, she has drawn a blank.

'Looking back, I think there was a fungi fairy ring in the garden at the time I took the picture, but I don't really know what to make of it all.

'To be honest, I don't know what it is and I'm keen to listen to anyone's suggestions. But until someone can tell me otherwise I'm going to go on thinking it's a fairy.'

Giant farm dog saves baby pig's bacon

A giant farm dog and a tiny piglet cuddle up as if they were family after the baby runt was dismissed by its own mother.

Surrogate mum Katjinga, an eight-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, took on motherly duties for grunter Paulinchen - a tiny pot-bellied pig - and seems to be taking the adoption in her stride.

And the unlikely relationship has made the wrinkly piggy a genuine sausage dog. In these adorable images Paulinchen can even be seen trying to suckle from her gigantic new mum.

The two animals live together on a huge 20-acre farm in Hoerstel, Germany, where Katjinga's owners Roland Adam, 54, and his wife Edit, 44, a bank worker, keep a pair of breeding Vietnamese pigs.

The weak and struggling piglet was found after she was abandoned by the rest of her family one evening after she was born.

Mum of the year? Quite possibly.
